2011-July-12: Blessings
This has been a good year.
The Merciful Love Connection completed our major project of restoring the Refuge to its former glory, including the added infrastructure of electricity that is safe and up to code.
We were there to repair the Refuge wall and the chapel and tower that were damaged when the earthquake struck Chile. We continued the computer programs that provide job skills for the young mothers. We supported values classes to bolster their strength, and tutoring for their progress in education. We sponsored a program called Buen Trato-No Violence, which helps break the harmful patterns created by violence. We provided uniforms and school supplies for the girls who go to school, and we sent money to replace two of the aging computers.We also updated our accounting programs so that our financial reports are efficient.
I am very grateful to the Merciful Love Connection Board for their faithfulness and constructive ideas for reaching our goals. I am very grateful to the people who through their contributions share our mission and the work of the Sisters of Most Merciful Love.
